Katie Brown is a Certified Residential Appraiser serving homeowners, real estate professionals, and attorneys across Wake, Johnston, Franklin, Granville, Chatham, and Durham counties. A proud graduate of North Carolina State University and lifelong North Carolinian, she brings deep local market insight, strong communication, and practical, defensible valuation expertise to every assignment.
Katie has worked with hundreds of clients to navigate complex residential valuation needs—including pre-listing appraisals, estate and probate matters, equitable distribution, private-use assignments, and ANSI-compliant measurements. Clients appreciate her ability to clearly explain the process, establish expectations upfront, and deliver reports that are both understandable and defensible.
She was recently nominated and elected by her peers across the state of North Carolina to serve on the North Carolina Professional Appraisers Coalition (NCPAC). In this role, she contributes to statewide advocacy, education, and industry development. Her leadership reflects a commitment to raising appraisal standards, protecting consumers, and supporting fellow professionals.
What sets Katie apart is her professionalism and service mindset. She values transparency, confidentiality, and respect in every client relationship. Whether she is appraising a $250,000 townhome or being trusted with a $1,000,000+ estate, each assignment receives the same level of diligence, accuracy, and care.
Outside of her work, Katie enjoys spending time with her husband, Jason, and their three daughters. Her family, North Carolina roots, and deep connection to her community inform the way she serves her clients every day.
